Karin Olmsted is a Senior Advisor for LSC Services. She joined the Membership Services team at USA Swimming in 2023, where she worked alongside Team Services and the rest of the Sport Development team. Before her work at headquarters, Karin was involved within the open water space as a manager for camps (2009-2014) and had the opportunity to travel the globe to support numerous open water Pan American Games and World Championships. In addition to her passion to work with athletes, clubs, and LSCs throughout USA Swimming, Karin has been a club coach at Cardinal Aquatics (2012-2016), and collegiately at University of Louisville (2003-2012), and Kenyon College (2001-2003). Additionally, she worked as the Director of Franchise Sales (2016-2022) for Steamline Brands. With a degree in Organizational Management from Gettysburg College, and her coaching background, Karin understands the needs of coaches and swimmers. She looks forward to helping LSCs across the country serve their athletes intentionally and strategically.
In her personal life, Karin’s biggest reward is being a super aunt to three age-group swimmers. She also loves the three months of high school swim season at Cherry Creek High school, her alma mater, where she is the current head coach. Karin currently resides in Lakewood, Colorado with her husband, Britt, who is a carbon capture systems engineer.
